Wotofo Framed Staple Clapton Coils are produced by first taking 9 strands of 0.1 x 0.3mm Ni80 ribbon wire, stacked on top of each other, these wires are then Framed by 2 strands of 28g Ni80 (one on each end), this is then Claptonised with 36g Ni80 wire. Because the core is so wide the resulting Clapton wire resembles staples, hence the name.
