The component of every vape device that produces the vapour is called a coil, coils come in all shapes and sizes, but without bamboozling you with technicalities, every coil has a resistance, measured in Ohms.

Generally speaking any coil that is lower than 0.6 Ohm is used for RDL (Restricted Direct to Lung) or DTL (Direct To Lung) vaping - these are the ones that give you massive plumes of vapour.

Coils of 0.6 Ohms or higher are used for MTL (Mouth To Lung) vaping, i.e. the same as you would do with a cigarette - draw into your mouth and then pull it into your lungs.
